Reports from outage-monitoring platform Downdetector.com indicated that nearly 2,000 individuals encountered difficulties when trying to access the service. Users navigating to the Claude website were met with a notice that read, "Claude will return soon. Claude is currently experiencing a temporary service disruption." The majority of the complaints—approximately 75%—were linked to issues with Claude's chat functionality. Additionally, 13% of users reported challenges with the mobile application, while 12% experienced troubles with Claude Code, according to Downdetector's findings. In response to the situation, the company provided an update on its status page, clarifying that while the Claude API was functioning correctly, the problems stemmed from the Claude.ai platform, particularly concerning login and logout processes.
