Chivas Regal launches Crystalgold in collaboration with Ferarri's Charles Leclerc

Chivas Regal has introduced a bold new product named Crystalgold, a clear spirit that revolutionizes traditional Scotch whisky. This innovative creation is crafted from matured Scotch, expertly stripped of its characteristic amber color, making it an intriguing alternative aimed at early-evening drinking occasions typically reserved for gin or tequila. The launch of Crystalgold took place during the vibrant atmosphere of the Singapore Grand Prix, coinciding with the brand's collaboration with its global ambassador and Formula 1 driver, Charles Leclerc. As part of this partnership, Leclerc has also co-developed a refreshing cocktail known as the Leclerc Spritz, which features Crystalgold combined with citrus, elderflower, mint, sparkling wine, and soda. Sandy Hyslop, Chivas Regal’s master blender with over 40 years of expertise, has meticulously crafted this spirit using traditional Scotch methods. The aging process involves oak casks that imbue the drink with rich flavors of vanilla, apple, citrus, and subtle spices. Following this, a precision carbon filtration process eliminates the color while preserving the drink's depth of flavor, resulting in a spirit that resembles vodka yet maintains the complexity of a well-aged Scotch. Despite its Scotch whisky origins, Crystalgold cannot be officially labeled as Scotch due to regulatory constraints and is categorized instead as a ‘spirit drink’. Chivas Regal, however, views this release as a natural progression within the whisky category rather than a departure from it. The elegantly designed bottle, featuring clear glass and gold accents, reflects the product's name and aesthetic, refracting light beautifully like crystal. To ensure its exclusivity, Chivas plans to distribute Crystalgold through select premium venues and retailers.
