Chipolo, known for its range of item trackers, has unveiled its latest offerings, which include a revamped LOOP tracker and the sleek Chipolo CARD. Introduced on Wednesday, these new devices are designed with user convenience in mind, featuring a rechargeable battery that promises to last for approximately six months before needing a recharge. The Chipolo CARD is crafted to fit seamlessly into wallets, sporting a textured matte finish in a subtle charcoal hue. In contrast, the LOOP tracker can be affixed to everyday essentials such as keys, bags, or purses and is available in an array of six vibrant colors: navy, mint, honey, coral, charcoal, and chalk. Unlike Apple's AirTags, which utilize replaceable CR2032 batteries, Chipolo’s devices are equipped with rechargeable options. The LOOP can be powered up using any USB-C cable, while the CARD supports charging via Qi wireless technology. This approach not only caters to those who dislike frequent battery replacements but also appeals to environmentally conscious consumers, as Chipolo asserts that their products contain at least 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. Both trackers boast a Bluetooth range of 400 feet (120 meters), enhancing the likelihood of locating misplaced items nearby. Users can easily track down lost items using the Chipolo app, which is compatible with Apple's Find My service as well as Android's Find Hub. With sound alerts reaching up to 110 dB for the CARD and an impressive 125 dB for the LOOP, these devices ensure that lost items can be found quickly. Additionally, if your phone goes missing, a quick double-press on the tracker will help you locate it. The Chipolo app offers further customization options, including out-of-range alerts for Android users, ringtone adjustments, and a new ring-and-blink feature that activates the device's light in low-light conditions. Both the CARD and LOOP are designed to withstand the elements, achieving an IP67 rating, which means they can endure immersion in fresh water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes and are resistant to dust. These new trackers are available for pre-order on Chipolo’s official website and Amazon, with plans to hit retail locations like T-Mobile by the end of September. Priced at $39 (or 45€/£39) each, Chipolo’s latest products aim to provide a competitive alternative in the tracking device market.
