ChatGPT can now access Google Drive and Dropbox to answer your questions

OpenAI has rolled out a series of innovative features for ChatGPT, aimed at boosting productivity by integrating with cloud storage services. Among these enhancements is a new 'record mode' that enables users to capture and transcribe meetings, brainstorming sessions, and spontaneous ideas, converting voice inputs into organized, timestamped notes that include action items and citations. Currently, this feature is available exclusively to subscribers of the paid ChatGPT Team tier, which costs about $25 (around ₹2,080) per user each month, contingent on an annual commitment for groups of two or more. Additionally, ChatGPT is now equipped to access and analyze files from major cloud platforms such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Users can inquire about specific data, like their company's revenue from the previous year's first quarter or the number of ferry rides taken in Italy, and receive structured responses with appropriate citations. As OpenAI elaborated in a recent blog post, ChatGPT will present the data clearly while honoring existing user-level permissions associated with those documents. These advanced features are accessible to subscribers of ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, and the student-targeted ChatGPT Edu plan. This latest initiative underscores OpenAI's strategic focus on capturing enterprise clients, a lucrative market characterized by substantial AI budgets and long-term contracts. Since the introduction of ChatGPT Enterprise in 2023, OpenAI has onboarded notable companies such as Canva, Block, PwC, and Estée Lauder. The launch of ChatGPT Team in January 2024 has further facilitated access for smaller businesses and teams in search of scalable AI solutions. OpenAI now boasts over 3 million paying business users, a significant increase from 2 million just four months prior.
