Adobe has made a significant advancement by integrating its popular applications—Photoshop, Acrobat, and Express—into ChatGPT. This new feature allows users to utilize creative tools seamlessly within the ChatGPT interface, eliminating the need to switch between different applications. With this innovative integration, users can issue commands to Adobe's software using natural language prompts. For example, a user might say, "Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image," and ChatGPT will execute the request. This functionality not only enables users to edit specific parts of images but also to adjust settings like brightness and contrast, apply effects such as Glitch and Glow, and maintain image quality. The addition of Adobe Express enhances the experience further, granting access to a vast library of professional designs. Users can fill in text, swap images, animate designs, and make iterative edits directly within the chat environment. Additionally, the Acrobat extension allows for file merging, text extraction, document compression, and converting files to PDF format—all through ChatGPT. If the edits generated by ChatGPT aren't satisfactory, users can easily transition to Adobe's native applications to refine their work. Adobe has been steadily incorporating AI into its products, recently introducing AI assistants in Photoshop and Adobe Express that respond to natural language commands. The company has also showcased its Firefly AI assistant, designed to help creators transform their concepts into tangible content. This integration is part of a broader rollout, with Adobe confirming that these tools will be accessible for free within ChatGPT. Users can expect to use Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat across ChatGPT’s desktop, web, and iOS platforms. Currently, only Adobe Express is functional on ChatGPT’s Android version, with plans to add support for the other applications shortly. This latest update follows OpenAI’s introduction of support for third-party applications in ChatGPT earlier this October, which included partnerships with platforms like Booking.com, Canva, and Spotify. Importantly, this feature is available to all signed-in users, not just those with a paid subscription.
