This month marks the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, with Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiling an array of activities, promotions, and giveaways to celebrate this milestone throughout the summer. Launched on June 29, 2010, the subscription service has undergone remarkable transformations over the years. To honor this significant occasion, Sony is providing subscribers with access to new monthly games, exclusive game trials, discounts in the store, and competitive gaming events. For July, PlayStation Plus members can download three exciting titles as part of their membership. Among these offerings is "Diablo IV," an action RPG that plunges players into a dark fantasy world filled with solo and co-op gameplay options, cross-platform progression, and a vast open world. Additionally, fans of fighting games can enjoy "The King of Fighters XV," featuring 39 playable characters, enhanced online performance through rollback netcode, and a special “Classic Leona” costume. Another title, "Jusant," invites players to engage in a narrative-driven climbing adventure, allowing them to explore a mysterious tower and uncover the secrets of a lost civilization. For Premium tier subscribers, Sony introduces time-limited game trials, including the chance to try "WWE 2K25," which debuted earlier this year. Another trial for "Monster Hunter Wilds" will be available starting June 30, providing players with an early look at this anticipated hunting game. From June 27 to 29, exclusive discounts will be available for PlayStation Plus members on select titles, such as "Sniper Elite: Resistance," "Sid Meier’s Civilization VII," and "Star Wars Outlaws." Furthermore, all PS Plus members can claim a free Valorant pack, which includes various cosmetic items that do not impact gameplay. A special PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary Cup tournament is set to begin on June 28, featuring 1v1 matchups across popular titles like EA Sports FC, NBA 2K, and Tekken 8. Participants will compete for in-game currency, exclusive avatars, and movie credits for Sony Pictures Core. As part of the celebration, Premium subscribers can also take advantage of a 15% discount on up to 2,000 movie titles available through Sony Pictures Core from today until August 12, with selections varying by region. Lastly, an online multiplayer weekend is scheduled from 12:01 AM on June 28 until 11:59 PM on June 29, allowing all players, including those without an active subscription, to access online multiplayer modes for free. Sony has teased that additional announcements and surprises may be on the horizon as they continue to celebrate 15 years of PlayStation Plus.
