Spotify’s launches a Wrapped-style recap of your entire listening history

In honor of its 20th anniversary, Spotify is introducing a special feature that celebrates users’ musical journeys. This new addition goes beyond the annual Wrapped recap, offering insights into individual listening habits over the years. Users can discover fascinating details about their Spotify history, including the date they joined, their first streamed song, and their favorite artist, along with a curated playlist of their top 120 tracks. To access this limited-time feature, listeners can search for "Spotify 20" or "Party of the year(s)" directly within the app, or they can click on a dedicated link provided by Spotify. This tool not only highlights the most-played songs but also reveals how many unique tracks users have enjoyed throughout their time on the platform. Following the familiar Wrapped format, this feature allows users to share their personalized stats and playlists with friends and across social media platforms. Spotify has indicated that this feature will be available globally, but only for a limited six-week period. As part of its anniversary celebrations, Spotify has also shared lists of the most-streamed artists, with Taylor Swift taking the top spot, alongside rankings for albums, songs, and podcasts. The Wrapped feature has proven to be a significant driver of engagement, with last year's campaign seeing over 200 million active users in the first 24 hours, marking a 19% increase from the previous year’s performance. Users shared their Wrapped recaps a staggering 500 million times, underscoring the community's enthusiasm for celebrating their musical experiences.
