Broadcom reports fourth quarter earnings after the bell

Broadcom is poised to announce its fourth-quarter earnings this Thursday after the market closes, with analysts anticipating significant growth. According to forecasts from LSEG, the chipmaker is expected to report a revenue increase of 25%, rising from $14.05 billion in the same quarter last year. In addition to robust revenue projections, experts predict that Broadcom will guide for adjusted earnings of $1.95 per share, with sales reaching approximately $18.27 billion for the upcoming quarter. This report arrives at a time when investors are increasingly optimistic about Broadcom's potential to leverage the burgeoning AI infrastructure market. The company is well-positioned with its custom chips, known as XPUs, and essential networking technology crucial for constructing extensive data centers that host numerous AI chips operating in tandem. Broadcom’s stock has surged to all-time highs, boasting a remarkable 75% increase in 2025, as its custom solutions, including Google's tensor processing units, are viewed as strong competitors to Nvidia's offerings. With a market capitalization of $1.91 trillion, Broadcom has caught the attention of major players in the AI space. Google unveiled its latest AI model, Gemini 3, during the quarter, highlighting its reliance on TPU chips for training. OpenAI, another significant customer of Broadcom, announced plans to integrate custom AI chips developed in collaboration with the company starting next year. Broadcom's CEO, Hock Tan, is expected to shed light on the company’s AI chip pipeline and its partnerships during the earnings call. Analyst James Schneider from Goldman Sachs has indicated that investors will likely scrutinize FY26 AI revenue guidance, contributions from Google and OpenAI, and the trajectory of gross margins in light of the rapid uptake of custom XPUs, maintaining a buy rating on the stock.
