At the recent Snapdragon for India event on May 7, Qualcomm unveiled its latest generation chips, focusing on advancements in smartphone and audio technology. During the event, Shyam Vedantam, Chief Product Officer of Boat, announced an exciting collaboration with Qualcomm to incorporate Snapdragon Sound technology into their premium Nirvana by Boat headphones. The new Nirvana Eutopia 2 Pro headphones are set to elevate audio experiences by delivering studio-quality sound. According to Vedantam, this integration utilizes Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm aptX Lossless technology, ensuring crystal-clear audio with near-lossless wireless quality and minimal latency, making them ideal for gaming and video playback. This innovative technology employs Qualcomm Bluetooth High Speed Link and aptX Lossless, promising seamless audio transmission even in busy environments. Vedantam emphasized that the collaboration with Qualcomm involved extensive engineering efforts to optimize every aspect of the audio experience, resulting in consistent high-fidelity performance. Powering the headphones is the Snapdragon S3 Gen 1 platform, capable of supporting 16-bit 44.1kHz CD-quality lossless audio and 24-bit 96kHz high-resolution wireless playback. Additionally, the chipset features a gaming mode that provides an impressive 68ms low-latency audio experience, which is crucial for in-game communications. It also supports multipoint Bluetooth connectivity and advanced adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to effectively reduce surrounding noise. While Boat has teased these cutting-edge headphones, they are expected to launch in the latter half of 2026. Interestingly, despite their premium features, the company aims to position the Nirvana Eutopia 2 Pro in a more affordable segment compared to their predecessors.
