World of Warcraft fans, who have eagerly anticipated the game's new housing features for over two decades, recently witnessed a surprising turn of events. Following the early access launch of these features last week, players quickly uncovered a unique exploit that allowed their virtual homes to float high above the ground. This unintended glitch, stemming from an invisible UI issue, caught the attention of the developers at Blizzard. Instead of rectifying the floating houses, Blizzard has decided to embrace the phenomenon. Principal designer Jesse Kurlancheek announced on social media that the overwhelmingly positive response from players has led the team to integrate this feature into the game officially. "We were going to fix flying houses to bring them back to terra firma, but you all made such awesome stuff, so we made it possible with the base UI instead," he stated. Following Kurlancheek’s post, lead producer Kyle Hartline shared additional insights, revealing that the team had previously discussed a plan to address the floating houses. However, after seeing the creativity of players showcasing their floating homes, they collectively agreed that the feature was too intriguing to eliminate. "Like no joke we had an ops channel about how to roll out the float fix but folks shared like 5 of the dopest houses and we all kinda immediately agreed this was way too cool to change," he wrote. This unexpected decision has sparked excitement within the community, as players look forward to the innovative possibilities that floating houses will bring to their gaming experience.
