The turtle image ties back to Blue Origin’s logo, which prominently features two turtles. This design is a nod to Aesop’s Fable, 'The Tortoise and the Hare,' emphasizing the moral that slow and steady can triumph over a faster but overconfident opponent. This post came shortly after Musk stirred the space industry by announcing SpaceX's shift in focus from Mars to the Moon as a near-term goal, suggesting a significant change in strategy from his longtime ambition of establishing a multi-planetary civilization. Bezos, who shares a vision of human settlement beyond Earth, has long advocated for beginning our space exploration with the Moon, eventually leading to orbital habitats.
