Today, players of Arc Raiders encountered significant issues as the game's servers went offline, impacting tens of thousands of users. According to reports from Downdetector, more than 60,000 players began experiencing problems around 8 AM IST on November 20. Many gamers took to social media to voice their frustrations over the outage, but as of now, there has been no official explanation from either Embark Studios or the Arc Raiders team regarding the cause of the disruption. This outage coincides with additional service problems reported by Cloudflare, which recently experienced a major outage. Users have reported difficulties accessing various websites that depend on Cloudflare’s network services. In total, over 495 reports were logged in the U.S., indicating that the problem is widespread. Players have highlighted a variety of challenges, including websites that fail to load and services that are unreachable. Meanwhile, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has also reported an uptick in disruptions, with more than 900 users in the U.S. noting issues, suggesting that several cloud and hosting systems are currently unstable. Notably, the outage tracking showed that 71% of AWS disruptions were linked to the US-East-1 region, 17% to US-West-2, and 13% to US-West-1. Gamers have been actively discussing the situation online, with one user lamenting, 'Can’t lie Arc Raiders server being down got me moving mad! I have been this addicted to a game since Golden Eye.' Another expressed their frustration with, 'Pressing the retry button on my Arc Raiders connection when the servers are clearly down & the ‘in queue’ message is stuck.' An AI assistant, Grok, confirmed the server issues, noting that widespread connection problems began on November 19, and advised players to check Downdetector or the game’s official channels for updates on when the servers might be restored. Interestingly, Arc Raiders isn't the only title experiencing difficulties today; popular battle royale game Fortnite has also reported server issues. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing situation.
