The launch of Apple's iPhone 18 Pro series is just around the corner, with only three months to go. Excitement is building as details regarding its enhanced features, specifications, and pricing begin to emerge. This year's flagship models are rumored to boast significant upgrades in performance, artificial intelligence, camera capabilities, and more. Despite the anticipation, there has been concern over potential price increases due to a shortage of RAM chips affecting the smartphone market. Many brands have begun to raise prices, leading to speculation that Apple's iPhones might follow suit. However, industry analyst Jeff Pu suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may not see a price hike this year. He indicated that Apple might adopt an "aggressive pricing strategy" to maintain competitiveness. Previously, Pu predicted that the prices for the iPhone 18 Pro models would remain stable. However, reports from Macrumors indicate that Apple could face "significantly higher memory costs" during the March to June period. Nevertheless, Apple appears to be in a favorable position compared to its Android counterparts, thanks to its substantial scale and purchasing power. By buying components in large volumes, Apple is likely able to negotiate better deals with RAM suppliers, potentially allowing them to absorb rising costs without passing them on to consumers. As for the design, the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to feature subtle refinements, including new color options, a more robust yet thicker build, and a smaller dynamic island. The thicker design may also accommodate a larger battery, promising improved battery life over previous iterations. Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro models are anticipated to come equipped with a triple camera setup, including a main sensor with a variable aperture, and an upgraded Camera Control button introducing new functionalities.
