iPhone 18 Pro price may not be as expensive as you think: Here’s what to expect

In a recent discussion, Apple CEO Tim Cook addressed the escalating prices in the consumer electronics sector, stating, "price increases are unavoidable." This has sparked speculation about the pricing of the forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro series, particularly concerning the possibility of a significant price surge. Cook emphasized the company’s efforts to shield customers from these rising costs, yet acknowledged the challenging situation. According to predictions from J.P. Morgan, the anticipated price hike for the iPhone 18 Pro may not be as steep as some had feared. The report suggests that the price increase could range from $50 to $100, translating to approximately ₹4,800 to ₹9,500. For context, the starting prices for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,49,900, respectively. In India, this could mean a price rise of around ₹5,000 to ₹10,000, placing the iPhone 18 Pro within the ₹1,40,000 to ₹1,45,000 bracket, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max might be priced between ₹1,55,000 and ₹1,60,000. Though the specific reasons for the anticipated price hike remain unconfirmed, factors such as increases in RAM, storage, camera components, and the integration of advanced AI-focused hardware are likely contributors. Prospective buyers of the iPhone 18 Pro models should be prepared for a potential increase in expenses. However, the final pricing details have yet to be officially announced. The launch of Apple’s latest generation iPhones is expected in September 2026, with the standard iPhone 18 model possibly debuting in March 2027, alongside the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 models.
