Video: Apple iPhone 17 Air may launch in sky blue, dummy model hints at design

The highly anticipated iPhone 17 Air from Apple is set to make waves with its new color offerings, particularly the striking Sky Blue, as revealed in a recent video showcasing a prototype model. Following the success of the Sky Blue M4 MacBook Air released earlier this year, Apple appears to be tapping into consumer preference for this vibrant hue, as reported by 9To5Mac. In a video shared by the user Majin Bu on X, the dummy model of the iPhone 17 Air is displayed in Sky Blue from various angles, demonstrating its appealing versatility. Under different lighting, the color can appear nearly white, while in other conditions, it reveals a more pronounced blue tone. The video also features a direct comparison to the iPhone 16 Pro in Desert Titanium, highlighting the slimmer profile of the upcoming device. On the technical side, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be powered by an A19 Pro processor, albeit with a 5-core GPU configuration. This is a shift from the full 6-core GPUs expected in the higher-tier iPhone 17 Pro models. Insights from Chinese tipster Fixed Focus Digital suggest this adjustment may be linked to chip binning or thermal management in the thinner design. However, it is expected that the difference in performance will be negligible for most users. These revelations contrast with earlier insights from industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who indicated that the iPhone 17 Air would utilize a standard A19 chip. Meanwhile, Fixed Focus Digital maintains that even the base iPhone 17 will be equipped with the regular A19. As Apple continues its trend of crafting sleeker and lighter devices, the iPhone 17 Air looks set to captivate consumers with its new color options and design enhancements.
