Apple unveils iPadOS 26 at WWDC 2025 with enhanced multitasking, AI-powered features

Apple has taken a significant leap forward by unveiling iPadOS 26, which it touts as the most transformative update to the operating system yet. This new version introduces a host of design improvements, enhanced multitasking capabilities, and a deeper integration of Apple Intelligence, along with innovative applications designed to boost productivity and creativity. At the forefront of the redesign is Liquid Glass, a fresh translucent interface that adds a sense of fluidity and depth to the iPad experience. This dynamic visual element responds to user interactions and environmental factors, revitalizing the Lock Screen, Control Center, and Home Screen. iPadOS 26 also features animated icons, new color themes, and updated user interface elements across essential applications such as Safari, Mail, and Apple Music. A major highlight of this update is the reimagined windowing system that revolutionizes multitasking.
