Conversely, the standard iPhone 18, the budget-friendly iPhone 18e, and the ultra-slim iPhone Air 2 are projected to be unveiled later in the first quarter of 2027. For those interested in the standard and affordable models, here’s what upgrades Apple might reveal. In terms of design and display, both the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are likely to maintain a look reminiscent of their predecessors. However, modifications to the Dynamic Island feature and a new cutout design for the iPhone 18e could be in the works. Both models are anticipated to boast IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, alongside an aluminum frame and a ceramic shield. The iPhone 18 is speculated to sport a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 3000 nits, while the iPhone 18e may come with a 6.1-inch OLED display featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
