
Apple has officially launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the iPhone 17e, in India, just days ahead of its anticipated launch event scheduled for March 4. This new model showcases significant performance enhancements, powered by the A19 chip, and includes features such as MagSafe support and the C1X 5G modem, making it an attractive option for consumers looking to join the Apple ecosystem without breaking the bank. The iPhone 17e boasts a sleek design crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum, complemented by Ceramic Shield 2 protection on the front, which offers three times the scratch resistance compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it holds an IP68 rating, ensuring robust protection against water and dust. With a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display utilizing OLED technology, the device delivers a 60Hz refresh rate and peak HDR brightness of up to 1200 nits. Under the hood, the iPhone 17e is equipped with the cutting-edge A19 chip, built using 3-nanometer technology. This chip features a 4-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and a 16-core Neural Engine, enabling faster processing for Apple Intelligence and various AI applications compared to earlier models. In terms of camera capabilities, the iPhone 17e is outfitted with a 48MP Fusion camera that provides optical-quality 2x telephoto zoom. It also allows users to record videos in 4K with Dolby Vision at 60 fps, enhancing the overall multimedia experience. Although Apple has not disclosed the battery size, the company assures that the iPhone 17e will deliver all-day battery life, along with support for MagSafe and Qi2, facilitating fast wireless charging up to 15W. The iPhone 17e will come in three colors: black, white, and soft pink, and will be available in two storage options of 256GB and 512GB, priced at Rs. 64,900 and Rs. 84,900, respectively. Pre-orders for this highly anticipated device will commence on March 4, with sales set to begin on March 11.
