Apple has officially launched Siri AI, accompanied by a dedicated application, during the WWDC 2026 event. As developers begin to download the beta versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, many have discovered that the new Siri AI isn't immediately accessible. Instead, users are required to join a waitlist to gain access to this innovative feature. The specifics regarding the duration of the waitlist remain unclear, leaving developers curious about when they can start using Siri AI. This situation is reminiscent of the previous waitlist implemented during the introduction of Apple Intelligence with iOS 18, where users received access within hours of signing up. It’s possible that Apple may adopt a similar approach for this new Siri AI as well. To enroll in the Siri AI waitlist, users must first ensure that the iOS 27 beta is installed on their device. Next, they should navigate to the Settings app, select the Siri menu, and tap on ‘Join Waitlist,’ following the provided instructions. Once access is granted, Apple will notify users that the updated Siri is ready for use on their iPhone. However, it’s important to note that Siri AI will not be available in the EU and China due to ongoing regulatory compliance issues. The new Siri AI is powered by the latest iteration of Apple Intelligence, designed to be “more helpful, more capable, and more intelligent.” This revamped assistant can understand personal context, integrate seamlessly with third-party applications, and perform system-wide app actions while pulling relevant information from various iOS apps. Users can expect a more conversational experience, allowing for follow-up questions and the ability to customize responses. In addition to the familiar “Hey Siri” activation prompt, users can also engage Siri from the Dynamic Island. The AI assistant is set to expand its availability to Apple’s Vision Pro, Apple Watch, and Mac devices, promising a more interconnected user experience across Apple's ecosystem.
