Apple has rolled out an exciting update to its AppleCare warranty offerings with the introduction of AppleCare One. This new plan is designed for users who own multiple Apple devices and seek extended hardware and software support for all of them. For a monthly fee of $19.99, AppleCare One provides coverage for up to three devices, regardless of their type. If you need to cover more than three devices, additional protection can be added for just $5.99 per month per device. This launch comes on the heels of a recent price increase for AppleCare+ plans in the United States, where the cost of most subscriptions rose by 50 cents a month. The potential savings from AppleCare One largely depend on the devices being covered. Generally, users will at least break even when including an iPhone in their plan. However, the savings become more significant when high-end devices like the iPhone Pro and iPad Pro are part of the mix. For instance, if you cover an iPhone 16e, an 11th-generation iPad, and a 13-inch MacBook Air, the total savings with AppleCare One would be minimal, at just 48 cents. Conversely, covering a high-end iPhone 16 Pro Max, a 13-inch M4 iPad Pro, and a 16-inch MacBook Pro could yield savings of up to $17.48 per month. Before enrolling in the new plan, it's advisable to calculate your costs, especially if your collection includes devices such as desktop Macs or Apple Watches, which may alter the financial benefits of the plan.
