Apple iPhone 17 series releasing on 9 September at 'Awe dropping' event

Apple has announced an exciting event scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM PT (10:30 PM IST), taking place at the iconic Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. The event, intriguingly titled "Awe dropping," will be broadcast live across Apple's website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app. The spotlight of the launch will be the eagerly anticipated iPhone 17 series, featuring the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a brand-new model called the iPhone 17 Air. This Air version is set to replace the previous "Plus" model and is touted to be Apple's slimmest and lightest iPhone to date, boasting a 6.6-inch display, the innovative C1 modem, and a single-lens rear camera. In addition, the iPhone 17 Pro variants are rumored to feature a more robust aluminum design alongside a redesigned rear camera layout, drawing aesthetic comparisons to Google’s Pixel series. All iPhone models are expected to be equipped with the next-generation A19 or A19 Pro chips, with ProMotion displays becoming a standard feature across the lineup. Beyond the iPhones, Apple is anticipated to introduce the Apple Watch Series 11, along with the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3. Other potential announcements could include the AirPods Pro 3, a refreshed HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV 4K. On the software front, Apple is likely to disclose release dates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe, among other updates. The event may also provide insights into Apple's revamped Liquid Glass UI and enhancements to Apple Intelligence features, which include improvements to Siri.
