Apple may launch budget MacBook, iPhone 17e and new iPad in Spring 2026

Apple is gearing up to launch a range of budget-friendly products, according to insights from analyst Jeff Pu at Haitong International Tech Research. The tech giant is expected to introduce an economical MacBook, the iPhone 17e, and a refreshed iPad, all aimed at consumers seeking more affordable options in the Apple ecosystem. A research note reviewed by MacRumors indicates that these new devices are slated for release in Spring 2026. The iPhone 17e will likely succeed this year's iPhone 16e, which currently stands as the most cost-effective model available in Apple's lineup. In addition to the iPhone, a 12th-generation iPad and a new low-cost MacBook are reportedly on track for launch. Notably, the entry-level MacBook is anticipated to be the first in Apple's notebook category to feature an A-series processor, as opposed to the M-series Apple Silicon chips. According to Pu, this model may incorporate the A18 Pro chip, first introduced with the iPhone 16 Pro, and is expected to sport a 13-inch display. The MacBook will likely come in various colors, including silver, blue, pink, and yellow, with a pricing strategy estimated between $699 and $899, translating to approximately 62,000 to 80,000 rupees. To manage manufacturing expenses, Apple is said to be utilizing older design frameworks and display technologies. Specifications may include 8 GB of RAM and a single USB Type-C port. Turning to the iPhone 17e, it is projected to run on the forthcoming A19 chip and may feature an enhanced 18MP front camera along with Apple's proprietary C1 modem. While these improvements are promising, significant hardware upgrades over the iPhone 16e are not expected, as this model replaced the well-known iPhone SE series. The upcoming 12th-generation iPad is anticipated to adopt the A18 processor, introducing Apple Intelligence capabilities to its entry-level tablet for the first time. However, the design is likely to remain similar to the existing model, with no major external modifications on the horizon. Jeff Pu's analysis aligns with previous reports suggesting a staggered release schedule for Apple’s future smartphone generations. The iPhone 18 Pro and the company's inaugural foldable iPhone are anticipated to debut in the latter half of 2026, while the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and the next iteration of the iPhone Air are expected in early 2027.
