Apple is reportedly developing a groundbreaking wearable device that will harness the power of artificial intelligence. Sources familiar with the project have shared insights with The Information, revealing that this innovative product will closely resemble the size of an AirTag, albeit with a slightly thicker design, and will be worn as a pin. This upcoming device is drawing comparisons to the ill-fated Humane AI pin, which faced criticism for its sluggish performance and poor battery life shortly after its 2024 launch. However, there is potential for Apple to overcome these challenges by possibly offloading processing tasks to a connected iPhone, although it's unclear whether the wearable will function independently or require an external device. The design of the pin will include a single physical button located along its edges and will be equipped with a speaker. Additionally, it will feature three microphones and two cameras—one standard and one wide-angle—enabling it to capture detailed information about the user’s environment. The device will also utilize a magnetic inductive wireless charging surface, akin to the technology used for the Apple Watch, ensuring a seamless charging experience.
