Apple combines Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro in new Creator Studio

Apple has introduced the Apple Creator Studio, a groundbreaking subscription package that consolidates its suite of professional creative applications into a single offering. Designed for creators engaged in video production, music composition, image editing, and design, the service will be accessible through the App Store starting January 28. This innovative bundle features some of Apple’s most popular pro applications, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro, available for both Mac and iPad users. Additional tools like Motion, Compressor, and MainStage are exclusively for Mac users. The initiative aims to streamline access to Apple's creative ecosystem, particularly for those who navigate multiple creative fields. For customers who prefer purchasing outright, individual Mac versions of the apps remain available. Final Cut Pro has received significant updates, enhancing video editing capabilities with new tools. The Transcript Search feature allows editors to locate clips using typed spoken words, while Visual Search enables footage searches based on objects or actions within scenes. The new Beat Detection function adds a visual beat grid to the timeline, aiding in the precise alignment of cuts with music. For iPad users, Montage Maker utilizes AI to create initial edits by pinpointing visual highlights, complete with automatic cropping for vertical formats popular on social media. The Motion and Compressor applications are included in the bundle as well, with Motion offering features such as Magnetic Mask for isolating subjects without the need for a green screen, while Compressor manages advanced export and delivery options. Logic Pro also benefits from new intelligent features, including the Synth Player, which generates customizable electronic and bass performances. Additionally, Chord ID analyzes audio or MIDI recordings, transforming them into editable chord progressions to simplify the transcription process. For iPad users, enhancements like Quick Swipe Comping and natural language search for sounds have been introduced. The subscription also incorporates MainStage, designed for live performance setups on Mac. Notably, Pixelmator Pro is making its debut on iPad within the Creator Studio, featuring a touch-centric interface, full Apple Pencil support, and seamless project synchronization between devices. Users will find new tools in Pixelmator Pro, including advanced masking, image upscaling, automatic composition features, and a Warp tool for reshaping layers. Apple assures that the app is optimized for high performance on devices equipped with Apple silicon. While Keynote, Pages, and Numbers remain free for everyone, Creator Studio subscribers will unlock access to premium templates, curated assets, and innovative AI-driven tools. These enhancements range from image generation and layout clean-up to presentation drafting from text outlines and formula creation in Numbers. The subscription is priced at Rs. 399 per month or Rs. 3,999 annually in India, with a one-month free trial available. Students and educators can benefit from discounted rates of Rs. 199 per month or Rs. 1,999 per year. Family Sharing allows up to six users to share the subscription. Additionally, Apple is providing up to three months of free access for customers who purchase a new Mac or eligible iPad.
