Apple finally fixes iPhone 17 bug that stopped users from using AI features

Apple has successfully implemented a solution for the Apple Intelligence glitch affecting its recently launched iPhone 17 models, which had prevented users from utilizing the new AI functionalities. Users first reported the issue shortly after the devices became available, noting that the AI features functioned correctly for a limited time before reverting to an outdated animation, rendering the AI capabilities inaccessible. Nearly three weeks later, Apple has not publicly acknowledged the issue, but according to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, the tech giant has released an update that restores access to Apple Intelligence for affected users. This fix is a server-side update that automatically applies to the iPhone 15 Pro and later models, ensuring that all eligible devices can regain functionality. While the Apple Intelligence issue seems resolved for now, users of iOS 26 have been facing a myriad of challenges since its debut. Initial concerns revolved around excessive battery drain and performance slowdowns. A review of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro by CNET revealed sporadic visual glitches, such as black boxes and white squiggles appearing in photos, which Apple has acknowledged and pledged to address. In addition to these problems, some users have reported connectivity issues with Wi-Fi and cellular services following the iOS 26 update. Social media feedback indicates that certain iPhone 17 models occasionally experience disconnections from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while others struggle to maintain cellular connections. Further complicating matters, users have raised concerns about the clarity and visibility of the Liquid Glass design in iOS 26. There are complaints regarding skewed icons, particularly when utilizing Dark Mode against a dark wallpaper. As Apple works to rectify these issues, many are eager to stay informed about the expected pricing, features, and launch details for the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and Air models.
