In a rapid succession of product unveilings, OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 in India. However, the spotlight is quickly shifting to the next model in the OnePlus 15 lineup, as leaks suggest that the OnePlus 15s may be poised for an imminent launch in the country. Recent reports indicate that the OnePlus 15s has secured certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), identified by the model number CPH2793. This certification hints that the device could hit the Indian market as soon as January. Previously, the OnePlus 13 series made its debut in China as the OnePlus 13T in April, before landing globally and in India by June. The OnePlus 15s is expected to follow a similar release strategy, potentially launching first in China before making its way to Indian consumers. Additionally, OnePlus has announced plans for a new Turbo series aimed at gamers in China, which may also be introduced in India soon. According to the leaks, the OnePlus 15s is said to feature a 6.31-inch BOE X3 OLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate, mirroring specifications from the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 15. Under the hood, the device is rumored to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the top-tier Qualcomm chip currently used in the OnePlus 15. Furthermore, it could sport a significant 7,500mAh battery, marking it as OnePlus's most powerful battery yet. The device may also support 100W wired fast charging, although it might forego wireless charging like its predecessor. On the camera front, the OnePlus 15s is expected to include a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, along with a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens, similar to the configurations found in the OnePlus 15 and 15R. However, it appears that the ultra-wide-angle lens will not be included once again. Additional features may consist of an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and robust IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. The phone's design is anticipated to feature a metal frame and a thickness of approximately 8.5mm. The OnePlus 15s is expected to run on OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, and will likely incorporate advanced AI features and Plus Mind integration with Gemini. The pricing for the OnePlus 13s in India started at ₹54,999 for the base variant, escalating to ₹59,999 for the top variant. Given the ongoing memory chip shortages impacting the tech industry, there is a possibility that the OnePlus 15s may experience a price increase upon its eventual launch in India.
