Anthropic releases Opus 4.8 with new ‘dynamic workflow’ tool

This tool aims to assist larger models like Opus in managing complex tasks across numerous parallel subagents. According to the announcement, "Claude Code along with Opus 4.8 can now execute codebase-scale migrations across extensive lines of code, utilizing the existing test suite as a benchmark." While Anthropic continues to hold back its most advanced Mythos model due to cybersecurity concerns raised during a preliminary preview last month, the company hinted that the wait for this model may soon be over. They noted swift progress in developing necessary safeguards and expressed optimism about making Mythos-class models available to customers in the near future.
