In a significant move aimed at bolstering its AI capabilities, Anthropic has welcomed Eric Boyd as the new head of infrastructure. Boyd, who spent nearly two decades at Microsoft, brings extensive experience, having most recently served as President of AI Platforms. With the demand for Anthropic's AI services on the rise, Boyd's expertise is expected to play a crucial role in refining the structured infrastructure and seamless deployment of the company's AI models. In a LinkedIn announcement, he expressed his excitement about joining Anthropic, stating, "I've been privileged to have a front row seat to the explosion of LLMs, and the team at Anthropic is truly special." Boyd emphasized the importance of delivering powerful AI solutions that benefit everyone, highlighting the impressive impact of the Claude Code on the industry in recent months. He conveyed his eagerness to contribute to Anthropic’s mission, saying, "I can't think of a better place to make this happen." Before his time at Microsoft, where he led a team of approximately 1,500 people, Boyd held executive roles at Yahoo. His appointment comes during a period of remarkable growth for Anthropic, which recently reported a staggering revenue increase from around $9 billion to $30 billion, largely driven by its AI offerings and the enterprise tool, Claude Cowork. To further reinforce its position in the AI landscape, Anthropic has also announced partnerships with Google and Broadcom, aiming to secure the future of AI computing and rapidly scale its infrastructure to meet the escalating demand.
