In a move aimed at rewarding its dedicated users, Anthropic has announced a temporary increase in usage limits for its AI model, Claude. From March 13 to March 27, subscribers across all tiers—including Free, Pro, Max, and Team—will be able to enjoy double the usual limits during off-peak hours. The expanded limits will apply outside of peak weekday hours, specifically from 8 AM to 2 PM ET (6:30 PM IST to 11:30 PM IST). This allows users to significantly enhance their experience with Claude during those times without needing to adjust any settings, as the changes will be implemented automatically. This increase in capacity is available on various platforms, including Claude's web interface, desktop application, and mobile versions. It also extends to Claude's specialized tools, such as Cowork, Claude Code, Claude for Excel, and Claude for PowerPoint. Anthropic made the announcement via a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "A small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks." This isn't the first time the company has expressed gratitude to its users; a similar initiative took place in December 2025, when usage limits were also doubled for Pro and Max subscribers. What sets this promotion apart is its inclusivity, as it now benefits Free and Team plan holders as well, while Enterprise users remain excluded. Amid ongoing controversies, including a disagreement with the U.S. military regarding an AI deal, Anthropic has found itself in the spotlight. This recent increase in usage limits comes at a time when many users are transitioning from OpenAI's ChatGPT to Claude, although Anthropic has not linked the promotion to the current situation directly.
