Amazon has rolled out its latest smart speaker lineup in India, featuring the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio, both designed to elevate audio experiences and smart home management. The Echo Dot Max is tailored for audiophiles seeking deep bass and compact sound, while the Echo Studio aims to provide an immersive listening experience through Dolby Atmos spatial audio technology. Both models are equipped with Alexa and run on Amazon's proprietary AZ3 silicon chips, enhancing their ability to integrate seamlessly into smart home ecosystems. Highlighting premium audio capabilities, the Echo Dot Max showcases a newly designed two-way speaker system comprising a dedicated woofer and tweeter. This setup reportedly delivers almost three times the bass of its predecessor, the Echo Dot (5th Gen), and automatically tunes its sound output to fit the room's acoustics. The Echo Studio features advanced spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, paired with a high-excursion woofer and three full-range drivers, promising a rich audio experience. Its design has also been refreshed with a 3D knit fabric finish and a spherical form. Both speakers support major streaming services, including Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, and Audible. They can also be connected with other Echo devices and compatible Fire TV sticks, allowing users to create a comprehensive home theater setup. To enhance smart home functionalities, Amazon has implemented Omnisense technology in both devices. This technology utilizes various sensors—such as motion detection, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, and temperature sensing—to bolster home automation features. Users can automate compatible lights, fans, air conditioners, and other smart appliances based on room activity. Notably, the Echo Dot Max is the first in the Dot series to incorporate a built-in smart home hub, supporting Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. In terms of pricing, the Echo Dot Max is available for Rs 10,999, while the Echo Studio is priced at Rs 23,999. The Echo Dot Max comes in three colors: Graphite, Amethyst, and Glacier White, whereas the Echo Studio is available in Graphite and Glacier White. Consumers can purchase these devices through Amazon and Flipkart.
