Amazon launches revamped Luna game streaming service

Amazon has officially launched an enhanced version of its game streaming platform, Amazon Luna, introducing an array of user-friendly multiplayer games that can be controlled via smartphones. This upgraded service is available at no additional cost for Prime members. A significant highlight of the revamped Luna is the introduction of GameNight, which boasts over 25 local multiplayer games aimed at fostering social interactions among friends and family in home settings. Among the exclusive titles offered through GameNight is "Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg," an innovative improv courtroom experience where players create hilarious characters, narrate outrageous tales, and defend their antics before Judge Snoop Dogg himself. In addition to this unique title, GameNight features popular games such as "Angry Birds Flock Party," "Draw & Guess," "The Jackbox Party Pack 9," "Ticket to Ride," "Exploding Kittens 2," "Clue," and "Tetris Effect: Connected." With the inclusion of these multiplayer options, Amazon aims to position Luna as the go-to choice for Prime members seeking enjoyable hangout or game night experiences. Jeff Gattis, the general manager of Amazon Luna, expressed excitement about the new feature, stating, "GameNight takes even further the idea of easy access that’s core to the new Luna, delivering a collection of incredibly fun and approachable games that absolutely shine when played together with friends and family. Anyone with a smartphone can dive right in and have a blast, regardless of their gaming abilities." The platform also continues to offer access to a variety of new titles, including "Hogwarts Legacy," "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle," "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II," and "TopSpin 2K25," alongside a selection of blockbuster hits, classic favorites, and indie games. As with the previous version, most games outside of the GameNight library require a controller or mouse and keyboard for gameplay. For those interested in a broader selection, Luna Premium, previously known as Luna+, is available for $9.99 per month, granting access to titles like "EA SPORTS FC 25," "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor," and "Batman: Arkham Knight."
