Amazon is currently grappling with a significant outage, as evidenced by over 20,000 user reports. According to Downdetector, the surge in problems began around 1:41 PM ET today. By 2:26 PM ET, the platform had recorded approximately 18,320 issues related to Amazon's website. The peak of complaints reached a staggering 20,804 reports by 3:32 PM ET. As of now, Amazon has not officially acknowledged any specific issues. However, an Amazon support account on X noted at 3:02 PM ET that "some customers may be experiencing issues" and assured users that the company is actively working to resolve the situation. Downdetector's data reveals that 50 percent of the reported problems occurred during the checkout process. Additionally, 21 percent of the complaints originated from users of the mobile app, while 17 percent were related to issues with product pages. Reports confirm that many users are encountering difficulties loading certain product pages, and the Amazon homepage itself is also facing accessibility challenges. This situation is ongoing and developments are expected.
