FX/Hulu drops one last trailer forAlien: Earth

As the highly anticipated series Alien: Earth approaches its premiere, FX and Hulu have revealed one last trailer designed to heighten excitement. Accompanied by a haunting score, the trailer showcases a blend of eerie alien spacecraft, lifeless bodies, and bloodied humans racing through high-tech corridors—all underscored by the ominous shadow of a xenomorph lurking in the background. Set in the year 2120, just two years prior to the iconic events of the original Alien film from 1979, this eight-episode series explores a world where corporate entities vie for the secrets of human longevity, potentially leading to immortality. Showrunner Noah Hawley has indicated that this series will align more closely with the original film's style and mythology rather than the later prequels, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. The official synopsis reveals that Earth in 2120 is dominated by five major corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs—humans enhanced with biological and artificial components—and synthetics, intelligent humanoid robots, coexist with regular humans. The narrative shifts dramatically when the prodigious CEO of Prodigy Corporation introduces a groundbreaking technology: hybrids, which are humanoid robots infused with human consciousness. The first of these hybrids, named 'Wendy,' signifies a pivotal moment in the quest for immortality. Following a catastrophic collision between a Weyland-Yutani spaceship and Prodigy City, Wendy and her fellow hybrids confront life forms beyond their worst nightmares. Sydney Chandler stars as Wendy, depicted as possessing the physique of an adult with the mind of a child. Timothy Olyphant portrays Kirsh, her synthetic mentor, while the impressive cast also includes Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and many others, each playing pivotal roles in this gripping saga.
