Speaking at Palantir's AIPcon 9 event in Maryland, Karp stated, 'What makes America special right now is our lethal capacities, our ability to fight war.' He highlighted that the 'AI revolution is uniquely American,' which sets the U.S. apart on the global stage. Karp elaborated on Palantir's capability to connect combat data, particularly in the wake of recent Iranian attacks on allied nations. He underscored the necessity of a coordination function in times of crisis, asserting that Palantir's platform is the only solution capable of providing that level of security. Karp referred to Palantir's Project Maven, a real-time AI surveillance tool that utilizes satellite imagery, which has been instrumental in various military operations. In a notable mention, Karp did not confirm whether Project Maven was involved in a recent military operation that resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
