In a groundbreaking move, Adobe has announced that it has integrated Google’s advanced image model, Gemini 3 (also known as Nano Banana Pro), into its premier creative software, Adobe Firefly and Photoshop. This integration is part of Adobe's ongoing strategy to provide users with access to leading industry models, including its recently launched Firefly Image Model 5, enhancing the flexibility and options available for various creative projects. The Gemini 3 model adds to a robust lineup of partner models within Adobe’s ecosystem, which also features contributions from notable companies such as Black Forest Labs, ElevenLabs, Ideogram, Luma AI, Moonvalley, OpenAI, Pika, Runway, and Topaz Labs. Recognizing that over 60% of creators leverage multiple AI models for their projects, Adobe aims to simplify the creative process by integrating these tools directly into the applications users are already familiar with. This approach eliminates the hassle of managing disparate tools and multiple subscriptions. The new Nano Banana Pro model showcases significant advancements compared to its predecessor, Gemini Flash Image 2.5 (Nano Banana). Its enhanced features empower creators to explore their ideas more fully. Users can employ text prompts to refine specific image elements, modify aspect ratios, increase resolution, and even alter camera angles and lighting. Additionally, the model excels at generating seamless text within images and can localize visuals with translated text. With access to Google Search’s extensive knowledge base, Gemini 3 ensures that the visuals generated are factually accurate. In Adobe Firefly, the all-in-one AI creative studio, the Nano Banana Pro model enhances the Text-to-Image functionality. It's also incorporated into Firefly Boards, which feature AI-driven collaborative mood boarding. Here, users can develop campaign concepts by uploading text, images, and icons, prompting the model to visualize these ideas in real-world scenarios, like displaying a campaign on a billboard in New York City for client presentations. In Photoshop, the Nano Banana Pro model is now the driving force behind the Generative Fill feature. This allows creative professionals to make swift, prompt-based edits, generate high-resolution content, and transition effortlessly from generative design to detailed editing. For instance, users can adjust an image's lighting, transforming a daytime scene into a nighttime atmosphere. To support users as they begin utilizing the new model, Adobe is offering unlimited image generations with Firefly image models and partner models in the Firefly application until December 1, 2025. This promotional offer is available for Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly plan subscribers, empowering users to merge high-quality generations with the precision that Adobe’s renowned tools provide, allowing them to bring their creative visions to life.
