Adobe is elevating its Firefly AI assistant by integrating it into key applications such as Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io. This update comes with a host of new capabilities, allowing users to create brand kits, develop product videos, and design storyboards with ease. One of the standout features is the ability for users to save their creations as reusable elements across multiple projects. In Premiere, for instance, the AI assistant can help organize assets into bins, rename clips in batches, identify interview questions, and add markers efficiently. Similarly, in Illustrator, it can reorganize layers throughout a document and check for any missing fonts. Firefly is already compatible with several Adobe applications, including Express, Photoshop, and Acrobat, and it is backed by AI technologies like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot. Adobe also plans to incorporate support for Google Gemini and Slack in the near future. The company is gradually transforming Firefly to mirror some of the functionalities of Canva by enriching the app with tools capable of generating images, videos, and storyboards. A new feature named Elements will allow users to save AI-generated characters, objects, and settings for future use. Additionally, the Projects feature will organize existing assets in a centralized location, facilitating team collaboration on video series and brand campaigns. Currently, both features are available in a private beta. Users can now define their brand's style or upload existing materials to Firefly, which can create comprehensive brand kits that include logos, identity, color palettes, and even generate product videos from photos. Storyboarding capabilities are also included for video creation. With these advancements, Adobe is committed to integrating AI throughout its suite of applications, simplifying complex processes that previously required multiple steps.
